Ons grootste behoefte tans weens die veroudering van ons inwoners is Mediese Beddens en Mediese Matrasse. Indien u enige kontakte het waarmee ons kan skakel om in aanmerking te kom vir skenkings sal ons dit opreg waardeer. Die paar beddens wat ons tans het, het so verouder en kan nie meer reggemaak word nie.

Our biggest need at this stage is for Medical Beds and Medical Matrassesdue to the aging of our residents. Should you have a contact for us to liaise with for possible donations we will appreciate it. The few beds we currently have are unrepairable due to aging and use.

Ons wil graag vir al ons Inwoners internet verskaf in die Tehuis en Woonstelle sodat hulle nie nodig het om data aankope te doen om met hulle families te kommunikeer nie. Ook wanneer die selfoon netwerke af is kan hulle nogsteeds kommunikeer. Om dit moontlik te maak moet ons die volgende toerusting installeer.

We would like to provide internet access to all our Residents in the Tehuis en Flats so that they do not need to purchase data in order to communicate with their families. It will also allow them to continue communicating when mobile phone networks are down. To make this possible, we need to install the following equipment.

Ons het tans ‘n sestienkanaalstelsel en moet opgradeer na ‘n twee-en-dertigkanaalstelsel sodat ons bykomende kringtelevisiekameras kan byvoeg om die buitekant van ons fasiliteit te monitor om die veiligheid van ons inwoners te verbeter. Weens die verandering in tegnologie sal ons van ons bestaande kameras ook moet vervang. Gebaseer op kwotasies wat ontvang is, kan die koste om dit te doen in die omgewing van R 143,265.85 of meer wees.

We currently have a sixteen-channel system and are in need to upgrade to a thirty-two-channel system so that we can add additional CCTV cameras to monitor the outside perimeter of our facility to better the security of our residents. Due to the change in technology, we would need to replace some of our existing cameras as well. Based on quotations received the cost of doing so could be in the region of R 143,265.85 or more.

Aan die agterkant van ons fasiliteit moet ons die eiendom omhein om ‘n verhoging in veiligheid vir ons inwoners te verseker. Daar is twee afdelings, A – Oop erf moontlike koste R 250 923,94 en B – Motorhuise/Parkeer en agteringang moontlike koste R 174 831,28. Kwotasies verkry om hierdie gedeeltes met SMART FENCE 50 en gemotoriseerde hekke toe te maak beloop R 425 755,22.

At the back of our facility, we need to enclose the property to ensure an increase in safety for our residents. There are two sections, A – Open plot possible costs R 250,923.94 and B – Garages/Parking and back entrance possible costs R 174,831.28. Quotations obtained to enclose these sections with SMART FENCE 50 and motorized gates were R 425,755.22.

Omdat ons nie ‘n mediese fasiliteit in Riviersonderend het nie (slegs die plaaslike Kliniek), wil Overberg Tehuis graag ‘n volledig toegeruste noodkamer inrig om ons eie inwoners sowel as inwoners van Riviersonderend wat tydelike mediese sorg benodig te ondersteun tot tyd en wyl hulle na die naaste hospitaal vervoer kan word. Die befondsing sal ons ook in staat stel om opgeleide mediese personeel (Verpleegsters) in diens te neem wat 24/7 kan help.

Because we do not have a medical facility in Riviersonderend (only the local Clinic), Overberg Tehuis would like to put up a fully equipped emergency room to support our own residents as well as residents of Riviersonderend that are in need of temporary medical care until such time they can be transported to the nearest hospital. With this funding to enable us to employ trained medical staff (Nurses) that can assist on a 24/7 basis.

– SASSA R 2 320,00 – 10% (R 232,00 – Sakgeld) = R 2 088,00 vir losies, plus Staatsubsudie van R 4 000,00 gee ’n bydrae van R 6 088,00 wat ‘n maandelikse tekort meebring van R 5 462,00 per persoon.
– Die Tehuis het 22 Subsidie gevalle waarvan daar op die oomblik 9 gevalle is wat geen ander bydrae maak nie en 5 wat net gedeeltelike bydrae maak. Ander 9 se familie/vriende maak die bydrae om die verskil op te maak.

• Monthly costs amount to R 11,550.00 per person from 1 April 2026 – 31 March 2027.
• SASSA R 2 320.00 – 10% (R 232.00 – Pocket money) = R 2 088.00 for accommodation, plus Government subsidy of R 4 000.00 gives a contribution of R 6 088.00 which results in a monthly deficit of R 5 462.00 per person.
• The Home has 22 Subsidy cases of which there are currently 9 cases that make no other contribution and 5 that only make a partial contribution. The other 9 have their family/friends contributing to make up the difference.
